The Cost of Quality
Abstract “…The Cost of Quality is often referred to as the “cost of doing things wrong”. Every time a business makes a mistake it costs money to make the mistake and then correct it. In this discussion document I share a Cost of Quality assessment example based on publicly available figures for EA Inc, I did a similar piece of analysis for AOL (UK) Ltd when I was leading testing there and the story was very similar.”
An Approach to Project Sizing and Complexity
Abstract “…as Test Programme Managers were called on by an international investment bank, to help manage the delivery of test automation to a large suite of applications. The delivery required us to work with a larger group of Project Managers, a select number of automation vendors and address a back-log of several hundred applications. The primary objective was to save multiple €MM spent annually on manual testing.
One problem… the schedules for delivery of test automation provided by the automation vendors were way off. Typically, the level of effort planned for was significantly under that which was required. Our role in this regard was to find out why and to introduce a solution.”
Materiality in ESG
Materiality is the key for meaningful ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) disclosure. The central principle is that ESG materiality is a means to assess which Environmental, Social and Governance factors are most relevant to an organisation.
